Delicious Diabetic Recipes For Everyone

It can be so difficult to locate diabetic recipes as so much ‘ordinary’ food simply should not be eaten by a diabetic patient, so you have to find recipes that are suitable for people who have been diagnosed with Diabetes, as it is really important that a Diabetic Diet is followed by any diabetic, whether they are diet controlled diabetics or insulin dependant diabetics.

I know when my own mum (an insulin dependant diabetic) had her 70th birthday and we were trying to organise a party for her, it was really really hard to locate recipes that we could make that she would be able to enjoy, but would not cause havoc with her blood sugar levels. We were trying to find food that everyone would be able to enjoy but that did take account of the very strict diabetic diet she had to follow in order to keep her diabetes stable.

It would have been no good at all just to make food that my diabetic mum could eat, if everyone else was going to dislike it – this would have simply doubled our workload!

Eventually my sister and I were able to come up with enough recipes that were not only suitable for our diabetic mum, but that everyone would be able to sample and enjoy – the party was a great success. More importantly mum was able to eat almost all of the food as it was all suitable for her diabetic diet, without suffering with exceptionally high blood sugar levels afterwards.

I have found this beautiful Diabetic Recipe Book which contains over 500 recipes ranging from Salmon or Tuna Puffs to Baked Fish or Beef and Cabbage rolls or Sweet and Sour Chicken in the savouries to Strawberry Fruit Squares or Banana Pecan Cream Pie in desserts to Date Coffee Cake or Diabetic Cookies in cakes and cookies.

There are so many special diabetic recipes to choose from that you are sure to find lots that you love, so why not give the Diabetic Cook Book a look?
